Scope of this Standard

Specifies the minimum requirements for hotels and guesthouses operating in Trinidad and Tobago. Included are requirements for: (a) legal, physical, personal and safety issues; (b) private guests facilities; (c) public areas; (d) food and beverage preparation and services; and (e) back of the house operations. This standard does not apply to: (a) bed and breakfast or host home establishments; (b) private residence or apartments rented for periods exceeding one month; (c) villas; (d) self-catering units; or (e) premises used exclusively for the accommodation of persons in religious, educational or charitable organizations
